Job Summary
The El Dorado County Office of Education, a recognized leader in providing high-quality alternative educational programs, is looking for a talented teacher to join our team as a part of our Charter Home Study Academy program. Our instructional format is a hybrid homeschool model. Students come to the school site twice weekly for classes and complete work at home with the parent being the home school teacher. Middle school students have the option to come in on non-class days to meet with teachers for extra support. Families meet regularly with their supervising teacher who will guide the parents in at-home instruction, assess student progress, and maintain student records. This position will perform a wide variety of clerical and secretarial duties. A large portion of the position will be to assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in the daily operations of the school, coordinate school office activities, and assist the Principal in administrative tasks. This person performs public relations and communications services for Charter Home Study Academy k-8; meeting with interested families, and communicating with other districts in the area. The position will also be responsible for purchasing and budgeting for Charter Home Study Academy and managing materials at the school. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Principal Essential Job Functions: - Provides leadership in establishing and maintaining a climate of invitation to all students, families and staff. - Provides leadership in creating inviting and safe educational environments and maintains overall operations. - Supervises classified directs and makes recommendations regarding personnel under the direction of the Principal. - Collaborate with program, school, and school personnel for the purpose of implementing and maintaining programs and activities. - Coordinate and communicate school activities, events and timelines. - Assists in all informational meetings for po
