Job Summary
The School Psychologist plays a vital role in supporting the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students in the school settings. The psychologist works collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to provide psychological services, including testing, counseling and consulting to assist in meeting the social, emotional and educational needs of students in regular and special education programs being serviced by the district. Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Pupil Personnel Services credential or equivalent authorizing service as a school psychologist Minimum of three to five years of experience working as a psychologist, preferably in an educational setting. Familiarity with age groups and an understanding of the unique developmental needs and challenges faced by K-12th grade school students. Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions, providing academic and career guidance, and collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success. Knowledge of psych-educational techniques, assessment tools, and intervention strategies to address academic, social-emotional, and behavioral issues. Organizational and time-management skills to manage caseloads, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines. High level of cultural competence and sensitivity to work with a diverse student population. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Strong organizational skills, adaptable to an evolving environment. Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university M.A. or M.S. preferred This is a fully remote position where you will primarily work from your home office. Proficiency in using standard office software, such as Google Office Suite.
