The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Program Administrator, SELPA for the East County SELPA department of the Student Services and Programs division. The Program Administrator, SELPA manages an assigned service delivery region or program that serves students with disabilities, including supporting statewide grant activities. This position requires travel throughout the state. This position is grant-funded through June 30, 2028. About East County SELPA The East County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) is composed of 11 local educational agencies (LEA) located in the southeast quarter of San Diego County, going east to the Imperial County line and south to our border with Mexico. There are approximately 80,000 students enrolled in the 11 districts, including over 11,000 students in special education programs. Individual district enrollments vary from less than 200 to over 20,000 students, indicating the need for a wide range of educational offerings available to serve students in the suburban and rural areas of the SELPA. Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires:
Education and Experience:
Experience: Five (5) years of special education experience, including a minimum of two (2) years in an administrative capacity in special education; and
Education: A master’s degree in education, education administration, or other closely related field.

Equivalency: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a master’s degree in education, education administration, or other closely related field, and five (5) years of special education experience, including a minimum of two (2) years in an administrative capacity in special education.
Certificates, Licenses, Credentials:
- Valid CA Administrative Services Credential
- One of the following Valid CA Teaching or Service credentials:
- Education Specialist or equivalent credential
- Pupil Personnel Services Credential with an emphasis in School Psychology
- Clinical Rehabilitation Services Credential
- Valid CA Driver’s License
