Art teachers are to provide support to the instructional process by serving as teachers with specific responsibility for supervising students in the classroom and other assigned areas. Art teachers play a vital role in fostering creativity and artistic expression among students. They design and deliver engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards, incorporating various artistic techniques and mediums. Additionally, art teachers assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and encourage experimentation and innovation in their artwork. They may also organize art exhibitions, collaborate with other faculty members, and participate in professional development activities to enhance their teaching skills and stay current with trends in art education. To be considered for this position the following documents are required: Copy of Single Subject Credential with an Art Authorization, CBEST Card and English Language Learners Authorization.
A letter of intent, resume, a copy of your credential, and 3 or more current letters of recommendation (written within one year) are required. Also, if you are a current certificated employee you should include your most recent evaluation.
