Charter School Principalship in World-Class Palm Desert Location George Washington Charter Elementary School (WCES) and Desert Sands Unified School District (DSUSD) is seeking a California-certified principal with public school (preferably charter school) experience to begin Summer 2024. About Our School Ranked in the top 4% of California charter elementary schools, WCES is a thriving school community serving 750 TK-5 students from throughout the Coachella Valley. Established over 25 years ago as one of the earliest California schools to convert from traditional to charter schooling, we are authorized by Desert Sands Unified School District and governed by a local council made up of seven student-centered school staff, parent, and community members. About You You are a California-certified administrator with experience working in public schools (preferably charter schools). You have a strong track record working with schools and evidence of academic excellence, fiscal responsibility, staff satisfaction, and parent satisfaction. You have a vision for serving the post-pandemic elementary student including building community, addressing social-emotional learning needs, and serving working families with afterschool programming.
