REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: • Any combination equivalent to: Graduation from high school supplemented by completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program in the electrical trade and three years of journey-level experience in the electrical trade. • Valid California Driver’s License. • Current & complete K-4 DMV report with California seal (printed within 7 days of application). • Knowledge of methods, equipment and materials used in the electrical trade. • Knowledge of applicable electrical and building codes and fire regulations. • Knowledge of basic electrical theory and calculation of formulas. • Knowledge of appropriate safety precautions and procedures. • Ability to perform a variety of journey-level electrical work in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical, fire alarm, master clock and intercommunication systems. • Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems. • Ability to observe and assure compliance with building and electrical codes and fire regulations. • Ability to read and work from blueprints, shop drawings and sketches. • Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment utilized in the electrical trade. • Ability to work at heights.
