Escalon Unified School District spans approximately 161 square miles and is located in southern San Joaquin County along the northern back of the Stanislaus River. Requirements / Qualifications

The Director of Student Services reports directly to the Assistant Superintendent. The Director of Student Services is the instructional leader responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing services to prepare students for success. The Director is responsible for administering, supervising, and coordinating student services, including health services, positive behavioral interventions and supports, mental health services, special education, registration and attendance, and family/community engagement. Working collaboratively with district departments and schools, the Director provides assistance and support to achieve the district's mission and goals. The Director of Student Services supervises, coordinates, develops, and ensures that the district maintains quality special education programs and services including psychological services; and ensures compliance with state and Federal regulations in providing services for students with disabilities. Additionally, the Director works closely with the Assistant Superintendent regarding district curriculum and instruction. The Director is a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet.

Education: Any combination equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and an appropriate administrative credential. Desirable: Master’s degree in a related field of study; possession of a special education credential; administrative experience in student services and special education. Experience: Five years of experience in the field of student services and special education and at least three years of increasingly responsible experience demonstrating knowledge of student services and special education.
