QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • High School Diploma is required, Associate’s degree is preferred; • Minimum of three (3) years of broad and varied clerical experience; • Equivalent years of experience working in a clerical position in a public school setting is preferred; • Successful experience demonstrating tact, courtesy, positive attitude, and maintaining cooperative relationships with those contacted during work; • Possession of current/valid First Aid and CPR certification; • Spanish preferred. OVERVIEW: Under general supervision, provide secretarial and administrative support to the Elementary School Principal and site by performing a wide variety of responsible clerical duties and work assignments. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Principal, teachers, PTA, etc.; • Prepare materials used at sites, such as rosters, bulletins, letters, schedules, and certificates for activities that happen at schools; • Manage mail, site postings and notifications, marque, etc.; • Provide front office reception and assistance to parents/families, students, and the general public; • Report necessary school-wide enrollment data to Registration Services; • Assist in the administration of federal testing as assigned (CAASPP) which may include training administrators and proctors, scheduling testing, and determining test administrators for students with accommodations; • Prepare labor vouchers, monthly absence reports, stores and purchase orders, maintenance requisitions, and management of site budget; • Order, distribute, and inventory instructional materials including textbooks, office, and classroom supplies, teaching aides, and Physical Education equipment; • Reconcile site funds, petty cash, deposits for field trips, after-school activities, camps, etc.; • Maintain medical records and update all medication and medical paperwork, distribute to appropriate staff; • Dispense prescribed medication to students
