Job Summary
Under the immediate direction of the District Coordinator of DEI & Compliance or designee, the WUSD School Counselor develops, coordinates, implements, and facilitates activities, interventions, plans, and training in alignment with District assertions, the ASCA model, and the needs of students, families, and educators. The School Counselor utilizes a tiered approach to support social and emotional development, mental health, and a positive culture and climate of inclusion so that each student experiences an optimal level of learning.
Requirements / Qualifications
Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
Preferred: Mental health licensure (i.e., LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) and can demonstrate good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. Possession of valid CA Driver's License

Placement on the salary schedule is dependent upon acceptable years of education and teaching experience if the former position is 75% of the school year, you were under contract, the school is WASC accredited, and you are credentialed during your time of employment with that institution.
