PARA EDUCATOR SEVERE BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely handicapped students in a classroom; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; assist students in developing various self-help, social and community skills. PARA EDUCATOR- SPECIALIZED SERVICES- JFK BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely handicapped students who may have extreme behavioral issues in a classroom; Provide direct instruction, monitor, and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; assist students in developing various self-help, behavior, social and community skills.

PARA EDUCATOR SEVERE: *EdJoin Application *SCOE Para Educator Proficiency Certificate or other qualifying document (NCLB/ESSA Certificate, transcripts showing a minimum of 48 units, or date AA Degree or higher awarded). PARA EDUCATOR- SPECIAL SERVICES- JFK: *EdJoin Application *SCOE Para Educator Proficiency Certificate or other qualifying document (NCLB/ESSA Certificate, transcripts showing a minimum of 48 units, or date AA Degree or higher awarded). **If you do not attach a qualifying document, you will be invited to test**
