Basic Functions: Organizes, and instructs school students in instrumental and vocal music at multiple school sites. Works with the school principals and teachers in the development of a comprehensive instrumental music program. Effectively encourage the students’ participation in the program. Promote close working relationships with parents and community.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education Required: • Bachelor’s Degree • Valid California Music Teaching Credential (Single Subject or Multiple Subject with an Authorization in Music) • EL Authorization or equivalent

Experience: • One year of successful teaching experience in an education setting is preferred. • 5 years previous public school teaching experience accepted per Ocean View Teachers Association (OVTA) contract

Salary: Upon Board Approval in May/June 2024, Certificated Teachers will receive a 4.0% annual salary increase to the Teacher's Salary Schedule
