KUSD teachers enjoy many benefits including a four-day work week and a school calendar that features breaks in the Fall, Winter, and Spring, as well as six weeks off in the summer! The Monday through Thursday work week and 148-day contract provide for a work-life balance difficult to match.
This regular, full-time teaching position for our 2025-2026 school year is at Kingman Unified School District's La Senita/Little Explorers Early Learning Center in Kingman, AZ. Led by Principal Runkel, Little Explorers Early Learning Center is a 5-star rated Quality First preschool/daycare, which is accredited by the National Accreditation Commission. The preschool program offers free services to children ages three to five years of age with developmental delays. A grant program is available to provide free preschool services for families in financial need, and a tuition program is available for typically developing children ages three to five. The campus' daycare program provides care for children ages six weeks to five years old. The La Senita campus is also home to the District's Autism Support Program (K-8) along with the Structured and Functional Education (SAFE) program.
The school's mission is to "provide a safe, structured environment that promotes student growth in the areas of communication, cognitive/academic, social, self-help and physical skills."

An initial placement salary between $47,075-$58,975 (range under review for 2024-25 school year) Employee health insurance options with premiums paid at 100% by the District. Summary/Objective The Teacher on Assignment works with and supports the Principal and other members of the school administrative team to bring about school and district goals. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: ACADEMICS Work with teachers and provide emotional and educational support (parent meetings, working with difficult students etc.). Support teachers in classroom through modeling, training, and professional development. Work with administration in writing school goals (ALEAT). Collaborate with Reading and Student Achievement Leaders. Assist with Special Education, which may include acting as LEA for IEP meetings, assisting with writing and implementing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA’s) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP’s), and developing and implementing 504 plans.
Required Certifications/Licenses Valid Elementary Teaching Certificate through Arizona Department of Education Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
