Helios is an innovative, independent school community for gifted learners in grades K-8 based in Sunnyvale, CA. Helios is seeking a teacher for the 2024-2025 school year to join our lower school, teaching a combined class of first and second graders. Responsibilities Collaborate with a co-teacher to lead a combined class that fosters an environment where students feel supported to respect themselves, take intellectual risks, and develop respect and empathy for others Collaborate with a co-teacher to provide integrated multi-subject instruction Lead a small Elementary, Middle School, or High School leveled math class Offer an elective on a topic that excites both you and the students Participate in our camping program, which includes overnight trips twice per year Collaborate with administration and other grade-band teachers to continuously enhance and adapt our theme based expeditionary curriculum Please submit a cover letter and resume in pdf to careers@heliosschool.org.
