Job Summary
**This posting is for the 2024-25 school year.** Under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent performs duties which support the delivery of Special Education services at the school sites. Assists in coordination of psychologist and IEP services. Plans programs, coordinates curricular resources, and evaluates effectiveness of programs for individuals with exceptional needs. Assists in the preparation of all state and federal reports regarding special education. Regularly coordinates and consults with Kern County Consortium SELPA. Serves students in Taft, CA.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: • Bachelor’s and Master's degrees required. • Must possess appropriate California credential(s) or equivalent as specified by law, including a valid Special Education credential. • Must possess (or be eligible for) an Administrative Services Credential. Experience: • Must have at least three (3) years of successful teaching or related experience in Special Education programs. • Must have experience in the preparation for and participation in Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) meetings, including proper forms and procedures. *Full list of qualifications can be found on job description. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice as well as a physical clearance are conditions of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
