Job Summary
The Structured Literacy Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) will be direct support for families using a program of structured literacy for South Sutter, Ocean Grove, and Sky Mountain Charter Schools. This teaching position is funded from a special one-time school grant that is scheduled to end in 2028. Under the direction of the Early Literacy Coordinator, the Structured Literacy TOSA is responsible for supporting parents and ESs in the implementation of structured literacy methods related to a specified curriculum for designated students. The Structured Literacy TOSA is highly organized and detail oriented, is comfortable creating and editing video tutorials, possesses excellent interpersonal skills, participates in group responsibilities, is proficient in the use of technology, and promotes school policies. Creativity and productivity are encouraged. The incumbent is expected to remain calm under pressure, work cooperatively with team members and others to provide the highest level of service possible and work in accordance with the Guiding Principles of the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: > Education: Bachelor’s degree > Credentials/Certifications: Current California credential required. Formal training in structured literacy is strongly desired. Reading Certificate (added Authorization) or Reading Language Arts Specialist Credential suggested. > Experience: Two (2) years of teaching experience REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: > Letter of interest > Current resume > Unofficial copies of credentials, certifications, and/or transcripts reflecting the position requirements > Two Letters of Recommendation Applications not accompanied by the required documents will not be considered.
