Job Summary

The Elementary General Studies Teacher will serve as a lead teacher alongside our Hebrew and Judaic teachers, design engaging, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate curriculum in partnership with the grade level team. The Elementary General Studies teacher will be expected to cover reading, writing, language, speaking & listening, math, social studies and science. They will be collaborative in nature and team oriented, use data to tailor instruction to meet students' academic, social, and emotional learning needs. Our goal for the Elementary General Studies teacher is to provide explicit skill-based instruction that aligns with California’s grade based standards for literacy. *Note: This position is full time but will be responsible for covering two long term elementary teacher leaves.

Requirements / Qualifications

The Elementary General Studies Teacher is expected to have: A minimum of two years of experience teaching BA/BS or higher degree (required) with a major in one or more of the following areas: Curriculum, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Content Area (Language Arts, Reading, Early Childhood Education, or similar). Multi-Subject Teaching Certification Be a highly collaborative, results-oriented, adaptable, problem-solving self-starter. Experience in standards-based curriculum planning. Be positive, thoughtful, passionate, motivating, and empowering with students. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Be computer savvy, with proficiency in email, word processing, spreadsheets, Google Docs, etc
