Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely handicapped students in a classroom; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; assist students in developing various self-help, social and community skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and some experience working with children or individuals with disabilities. CERTIFICATE: This position requires the SCOE Para Proficiency Test certificate or other qualifying document: NCLB/ESSA certificate, CBEST, or transcripts showing 48 college units or date AA Degree or higher degree was awarded. ATTACH A COPY TO YOUR APPLICATION. ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following documents are not required at the time of application but will be required of the select candidate prior to employment. *Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance, *Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance & *Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Lift Test clearance.
