Job Summary
Central Union High School District is looking to fill 2 School Psychologists positions beginning with the 2024-2025 school year. School Psychologists provide psychological services to schools including testing, counseling, and consulting to assist them in meeting the educational needs of students; complete psycho-educational evaluations, prepare reports, and present results to IEP teams. Additionally, they counsels students on various matters; consult with administrators, counselors, agency personnel, teachers, and parents to meet student needs and to provide them with necessary services. These positions will focus on providing training and coaching to staff with addressing behaviors that impact learning, behavior strategies, and positive behavior interventions that support students with accessing instruction in the least restrictive environment; model direct student intervention and support; develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans, and participate in Individual Education Plans. These positions service all students to support them toward reaching their educational and future goals. Qualifications for this position are: Valid CA Credential: PPS - School Psychologist Master's Degree Preferred Qualifications include: Bilingual (English/Spanish); previous teaching or counseling experience; previous experience working with high school aged students. The ideal candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills; be organized and have good time management skills; be flexible and hardworking to meet student and parent needs; have empathy and patience; be a student advocate; have a record of good attendance; and align with our core values of honesty, integrity, and respect.
