Job Summary

General Description The Principal is responsible to the Board of Directors of Crossroads Christian School of Madera and administers the overall program of the school. The Principal directs all operations for curriculum and instruction, personnel, school business management, and student services. The Principal serves as the Chief Financial Officer to the Board of Directors of the non-profit corporation Qualifications The Principal must: 1. Have a close and personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. 2. Be an active member of a church and attending on a regular basis. 3. Have a thorough understanding of Crossroads Christian School's mission, vision, and philosophy and establish a wholesome spiritual and emotional atmosphere that will characterize it as distinctively Christian. 4. Have personal, professional, and spiritual qualities of leadership that people respect and follow. 5. Have the ability to facilitate the work of the Board of Directors and effectively administer its policies and procedures and the responsibilities of the position. 6. Have the ability to direct the daily operation of the school through supervision of staff, coordination of activities, and establishment of an atmosphere conducive for quality educational program. 7. Have the ability to foster creativity and be responsive to innovative ideas. Responsibilities The Principal shall: 1. Provide leadership in the accomplishment of the spiritual mission of the school. 2. Meet regularly with staff to insure coordination of programs and quick problem resolution. 3. Serve as a member of the Board of Directors and attend all meetings. 4. Manage the personnel services activities including securing staff, developing job descriptions, contracts, answering questions related to salary and benefit package, staff observations and evaluations, and recommending continuance, disciplinary action, or dismissal of personnel. 5. Authorize all purchase requisitions/order
