Job Summary
The EL Support teacher will provide direct instruction in-person and virtually to students. This position will also provide coaching and support to our teachers. Some travel is required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Possess and maintain valid California Teaching Credential for level of instruction Math or Reading Intervention credential preferred English Learner authorization

Comments and Other Information
The English Learner (EL) Support Teacher will provide teachers and/or students with direct intensive instructional support services including research based effective strategies and interventions. The EL Support Teacher will assume a key role in student learning focused on English Learners. The EL Support Teacher will work collaboratively with other school personnel, including the EL Program Specialist, to ensure that EL students receive a coordinated set of services that facilitate the acquisition of English, grade level achievement in all core areas.
This is an in-person position and requires travel to the greater Sacramento region including Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. Bilingual is preferred.
Pacific Charter Institute offers a unique instructional model serving homeschool and independent study students across 16 counties through Heritage Peak Charter School, Rio Valley Charter School, Valley View Charter Prep, and Sutter Peak Charter Academy.
PCI offers full time employees a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision and STRS for certificated staff. A 401k plan is available for ALL STAFF (including part-time) with an employer contribution.
