JOB SUMMARY The Anaheim Elementary School District (AESD) is seeking a community-focused leader to serve as the District’s next Superintendent. Located in a world-famous destination city, the Anaheim Elementary School District serves approximately 15,300 Preschool-6th grade students across 24 campuses. Enriched by diversity, AESD’s vision is to create a service-oriented culture where students, families, and staff feel a sense of inclusion and belonging. The District is committed to providing an instructional program where fundamental subjects are integrated with world languages, art and music, science, social studies, and civic engagement to develop confident learners who become responsible members of society. LEADERSHIP PROFILE Anaheim Elementary School District seeks a Superintendent with a proven track record of success as an educational leader. Applicants must possess the ability to: • Carry out the existing vision, direction, and goals of the District. • Support teaching and learning in a culturally and linguistically responsive manner. • Effectively engage with staff, families, and the greater Anaheim community. • Be approachable and available. • Serve as the face, voice, and ambassador of the District. • Work collaboratively with the Governing Board. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher learning • Administrative Services Credential • Site principal experience required; Cabinet level experience preferred • A relational leader who understands certificated and classified functions in a public school setting • Bilingual preferred, not required
