Job Summary
DEFINITION Under the direction of the Director of Purchasing or designee, perform a variety of technical duties involved in the purchasing of various supplies, materials, furniture, equipment and services for the District; prepare, process and administer related bids, quotes, pricing and product information as it relates to large purchases or necessary purchases without purchase orders.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; three (3) years full-time purchasing experience. Licenses and other requirements: Valid California driver’s license. Driving record acceptable to District insurance carrier. Desired Qualification: Public school experience; legal requirements and limitation of school district purchasing; course work in a related field; supervisory experience.
