Visions In Education is seeking a Teacher on Special Assignment that will serve our English Language Learners (EL TOSA) for the 2024/2025 school year. The EL TOSA will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the California English Language Development (ELD) standards for the Home School, Independent Study and University Prep academies. This position will work closely with the Director of Instruction, Curriculum Coordinator, Instructional team members, Principals, and teachers to develop curriculum, resources, training materials as well as provide support as necessary. This position will work a hybrid schedule of 1 day at our office in Carmichael, CA and 4 days remotely. This position is required to attend community events as assigned. In addition, this position is required to attend in-person trainings or meetings. Depending upon the needs of the department this schedule is subject to change. Teachers start on the salary schedule based upon semester units beyond their Bachelors. Visions step 1 is similar in pay to step 7 of surrounding districts and for that reason, most teachers start on step 1 of our salary schedule. For positions with credentials that are difficult to fill, additional steps may be given. $62,116 (0-29 units) $65,098 (30-60 units) $70,696 (60 or more units) Visions has a 20 step salary schedule for teachers which includes a 4.5% salary increase each school year until they reach Step 10. Visions teachers on Step 10, with 60+ units, earn up to $105,059. Teachers on Step 20, with 60+ units, earn up to $112,413. Visions offers medical coverage (Kaiser, Western Health Advantage, and Sutter Health Plus), dental coverage (Delta Dental) and (Delta Dental) and vision coverage (VSP). These include options for 100% employer-paid coverage for employee-only levels. Visions offers a short and long-term disability and a $100,000 basic life insurance for employees at no cost. Visions participates with CalSTRS and CalPERS.
