Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent or Director of Student Support Services, School Social Workers will support grant initiatives and other special projects as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent that relate to student well being. School Social Workers will provide professional case management and short-term intervention support to students who experience difficulties in educational achievement due to social, emotional, adjustment and/or attendance issues. School Social Workers will conduct home visits as needed, provide crisis intervention and consultation to support students and families, provide in-service training and consultation to school site personnel, and participate in the development of plans to improve students' well-being and school attendance including follow-up procedures and evaluation targets.
