Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Faculty Dean and the Head of School, the Life Science teacher is responsible for teaching 7th grade Life science and 9th grade Biology. The goal of Life Science and Biology is to develop scientific mindsets along with the organizational and laboratory skills required for scientific inquiry. Students are encouraged to investigate natural phenomena and solve real-world problems that closely align with the eight science and engineering practices identified in the Next generation Science Standards (NGSS). This course prepares students for upper level high school courses, as well as helping them to become environmentally and socially conscious adults. We are hiring two teachers between 0.2 and 1.0 FTE for the 2024-2025 school year.
