POSITION DETAILS Helendale School District is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time management position. The Director of Educational Services / Independence Charter Academy Principal is responsible for a wide scope of services for the District. This position will work under the direction of the Superintendent to fulfill the needs of Pupil Services including Special Education, Curriculum and instruction, Foster and Homeless Youth, while overseeing the operations of the Independence Charter Academy school. Knowledge will be required in Special Education, instruction, and reporting (state, federal, and local). This position serves as a member of the District’s management team and will be expected to provide training and share information with management and staff regularly. The district encompasses the Academy of Careers and Exploration, Helendale Elementary, Independence Charter Academy, and Riverview Middle School, catering to grades Transitional Kindergarten through 12th grade. The district also oversees four independent charter schools that are within San Bernardino County or adjoining counties.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Master’s degree, experience as a school principal or as an administrator in a school district; or any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Possession of a credential authorizing services as a California School Teacher. Possession of a credential or internship authorizing services as a California School Administrator. Special Education Related Credential Desired
