Job Summary
Under the supervision of the assigned Director or Principal, the School Psychologist manages, evaluates and serves as a consultant for the Butte County Office of Education or SELPA-operated programs. Programs may include the following areas: Severely Handicapped (SH), Emotionally Disturbed (ED), Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH), Early Start, Charter Schools, Juvenile Court Community Schools (JCCS), Butte County Jail, small school districts and at-risk students at a variety of school sites throughout Butte County. The School Psychologist represents BCOE and/or the SELPA in a variety of interagency committees and takes a leadership role for interagency collaboration regarding individual students, programs and support services.
