The Tulare City School District, Tulare, California, Board of Trustees is seeking an effective leader and fully qualified Superintendent. The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position on July 1, 2024. McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development, in collaboration with the California School Boards Association, has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the Board of Trustees in identifying and screening the candidates. Enrollment: 9,300 Location: Halfway between Fresno and Bakersfield
Requirements / Qualifications
• Clear Administrative Services Credential/certificate is preferred [Education Code 35028] Note: The Governing Board may waive (Education Code 35029] and require the Superintendent to pursue a program of in-service training conducted according to guidelines approved by the commission • Valid Teachers Certificate [Education Code 35028] • Superintendents Certification Course (ACSA Superintendent Academy or equivalent) • Master’s degree or higher in education required (Doctorate preferred) • At least 5 years of successful experience as a teacher and leader at the classroom, site, and district level is required. • Administrative experience at the cabinet or superintendent level is preferred. • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
