POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time management position assisting in leading our Early Education Program. The Assistant Director of Educational Services under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services or another assigned administrator, plans, organizes, coordinates, and supervises a District Educational Services Program to ensure compliance with applicable laws, codes, regulations, grants, and/or other program requirements as well as the success of the programs. The ideal candidate will have experience successfully leading, coordinating, and evaluating the effective implementation of a child development program for preschool-age children. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: •Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Education, Liberal Arts, or a field related to the knowledge and abilities requirements of this classification from an institute of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. A master's degree in a field related to the knowledge and abilities requirements of this classification desirable. Experience: •Five (5) years experience designing, coordinating and overseeing the implementation of a child development program for preschool through 8th grade school-aged children. •Two (2) years of experience evaluating the effectiveness of the program and training staff on program implementation •One (1) year of supervisory experience in the administration of a related program is required. License: •Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License, and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required. •California Child Development Director's Permit required at time of hire (as required by program served).

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES This will be a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. Applications will be accepted from all qualified individuals. The recruitment process may consist of the following: an application and supplemental question response evaluation and/or structured oral interview. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the process. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill the current and any future vacancies for one year (12 months). If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. Applicants who may need reasonable accommodation for interviewing must notify the Personnel Department three business days prior to the testing date at (714) 447-7458.
