Job Summary
The Virtual Art teacher will be responsible for creating a comprehensive art program that caters to both personalized and virtual students within the school. The art teacher will curate a diverse range of art classes with a range of age and grade-appropriate choices for all students. Personalized students will have the option to enroll in weekly art classes facilitated by the art teacher with an ETL (Excel Teacher Led) class format. These classes will be scheduled as part of the students' core curriculum with elementary and junior high classes offered as additional and optional electives and high school as credit-bearing. Additionally, drop-in art sessions will be organized in various school settings, accommodating both online and in-person participation. For virtual students, a dedicated elective art class will be offered on a weekly basis for all grade bands. These classes will be mandatory for all virtual students, ensuring that they have the opportunity to engage in an art education.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree A valid, current, and appropriate California state teaching credential for teaching staff. A copy of Teaching Credential to be provided and kept current. Hold and maintain a valid California Driver’s License; proof of automobile insurance; and full time use of a dependable automobile that is insured pursuant to California regulations. State and federal background clearance (LiveScan) to work with students (Education Code Section 44237) upon offer of employment. No prospective employee can report to work without this clearance being received and Human Resources notifying the immediate supervisor of this clearance. Proof of a clear TB test dated within the last 60 days (Education Code Section 49406) upon employment and thereafter updated every four years. Hold and maintain a valid California Driver’s License; proof of automobile insurance; and full time use of a dependable automobile that is insured pursuant to California regulations.
