Job Summary

Job Summary

The Campus Monitor’s primary responsibility is to provide supervision and assistance to students during recess activities under the direction of school leadership. The Campus Monitor will oversee students in the outside play areas and may be required to conduct a variety of indoor and outdoor games and activities. The Campus Monitor will also support the supervision of students in other non-classroom settings in the school, such as during lunch time.

Requirements / Qualifications

1. High School Diploma (working towards an AA or BA degree preferred) 2. Spanish speaking preferred 3. Recent first aid and CPR certifications. 4. Experience working with children (in a school setting preferred) 5. Passion for working with a socio-economically, culturally and racially diverse community of students 6. Demonstrate professionalism and ability to work in collaboration with staff and other community members 7. Ability to show empathy, compassion and patience to students 8. Strong management and organizational skills 9. Takes initiative 10. Good physical health and mobility 11. Ability to move swiftly to assist other staff and students as situations dictate 12. Ability to function well in varying weather conditions 13. Able to be on feet for extended periods of time 14. Prompt and reliable attendance 15. DOJ Background Check and TB Test
