JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the superintendent, the elementary school principal will lead the West Marin and Inverness School community with a high degree of personal integrity, strong communication skills, and a collaborative, student-centered approach. The elementary principal plans, organizes, administers and directs the general operations and educational programs of West Marin and Inverness Schools while nurturing a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment. Successful candidates will be able to engage educational partners and maintain a deep commitment to supporting diverse student learning needs, and promote shared, data-driven decision-making that is based on informed understanding. LOCATION: Inverness School currently serves 46 PK-1 students in a small learning environment in hills above Tomales Bay. West Marin School serves 130 students from grades 2-8 in the rural community of Point Reyes Station, CA. Both schools work closely together to form one school community in bucolic West Marin County, CA.

Requirements / Qualifications

Possession of a valid administrative services credential, Master’s degree and five or more years of K-8 teaching experience preferred. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Offers of employment subject to: Valid California Driver’s License, Fingerprint clearance, and Negative TB clearance.
