Substitute Site Supervisor - Early Learning Centers at San Luis Obispo County Office of Education

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director, carries primary responsibility at the site level for all Early Learning components; plans and implements developmentally appropriate curriculum for each child; creates a room environment that invites children to explore, create, discuss and share; plans, prepares, and provides healthy meals, including snacks and breakfasts, on a daily basis; plans monthly parent education meetings based on family needs; responsible for maintenance of children's records; supervises staff, parents and other volunteers working in the classroom; performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Required: 1. A valid Child Development Site Supervisor Permit. 2. A valid California driver’s license. 3. Valid First Aid and CPR certification. Desirable: 1. Two years of experience as a preschool teacher. 2. Bilingual (Spanish/English) competency.

A travel stipend of $15 per day will be paid to substitutes who live 15-25 miles one-way from the assignment. A $20 travel stipend will be paid for a distance further than 25 miles one-way.
