Job Summary
Modesto Christian School is in search of a part-time Visual Arts Teacher who will be responsible for teaching students of all ages various artistic techniques such as drawing, painting, music, sculpture, and ceramics. The ideal candidate should have an exceptional work ethic, a passion for art, excellent communication skills, and a personal relationship with God. The teacher will also be responsible for developing Christ-centered leaders and inspiring students to appreciate art. The Visual Arts Teacher's duties include designing curriculum and lesson plans, evaluating student work, maintaining the classroom environment, and collaborating with faculty team. The teacher must also develop critical and creative thinking skills, collaborate with parents, principals, and guidance counselors, encourage students to participate in school and community arts programs, and maintain an open line of communication with parents regarding the academic and behavioral status of students. Modesto Christian School is seeking an exemplary teacher who is eager to inspire students of all ages to develop their artistic abilities through various mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramics. We want a Visual Arts Teacher with a strong work ethic who enjoys young people, is passionate about art, and is an excellent communicator. Even more importantly, we want a teacher who has a personal relationship with God and is capable of developing Christ-centered leaders.
Requirements / Qualifications
BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university ACSI Teaching credential or willing to obtain the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) certification Understand and be committed to our school's philosophy of Christian Education Demonstrate spiritual maturity and show evidence of actively growing in one's own Christian walk and be active in a local church References: 1 personal, 1 professional, 1 pastoral
