Requirements / Qualifications

The Assistant Superintendent of Equitable Education Services will play a pivotal role in advancing the Sonoma County Office of Education's efforts to improve student outcomes and promote equity in education. This leadership position will oversee the development and implementation of initiatives related to student services, accountability, and continuous improvement. This position is responsible for the guidance and development of the LCAP process for the county and will work collaboratively with SCOE departments and external partners in the implementation of technical assistance to schools, districts, and charter schools. The successful candidate will provide equity-centered strategic leadership and support to district and school leaders as they work to meet the diverse needs of all students. Education: -Master’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education is required. Experience: -In management positions in educational sites and/or central offices with progressively increasing responsibility. -Curriculum and instruction experience. -Staff development and/or in-service training experience. Credentials: -Appropriate valid California Teaching Credential or Pupil Personnel Services and -Administrative Services Credential are required.
