Requirements / Qualifications

A Director of Equitable Education Services will lead various initiatives and programs aimed at promoting equity and belonging across educational settings in Sonoma County. This position provides technical assistance to districts, schools, and charter schools, supporting them in their efforts to implement equity-centered practices and policies. Working collaboratively with other departments within the Sonoma County Office of Education and external partners, you will drive systemic change and ensure that all students have the resources and support they need to succeed. Experiences as a principal and district office administrator will greatly enhance the technical assistance required to ensure all of the components of the California System of Supports are accessed and implemented. Education: -Masters Degree from an accredited institution of higher education is required. Experience: -In management positions with progressively increasing responsibility and professional experience in the field of education. -In staff development and/or in-service training experience. -In supervision of district site or county office program operations and activities, including the supervision of certificated and classified staff. This must include serving in an administrative position with primary responsibility of a school site or program specifically designed to serve students. Credentials: -Appropriate valid California Teaching Credential or Pupil Personnel Services and Administrative Services Credential are required.
