Job Summary
Job Summary
Complete your third year internship working with a diverse student body in the Lawndale Elementary School district. LESD offers interns a unique opportunity to gain experience working with students from different socio-economic, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds. Intern will be paired with at least one school psychologist who will supervise and mentor the intern through the year's experiences. This position is limited to only the 2024-25 school year and will end June 2025. Please refer to the job description for more detailed information about the position.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California School Psychologist Intern Credential Provide Documentation from University on qualifying candidacy for School Psychologist internship - Program status (Intern Authorization Letter) Ability to lift up to (20) pounds, bend, use stairs, get up and down from floor with ease. BA/BS Degree Required; Masters Degree with emphasis in School Psychology preferred Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

It is designed to provide professional internship opportunities for incumbents serving in this position (including recent graduates) to apply their knowledge in the field of School Psychology as they work towards credentialing and licensure requirements. This internship is designed for incumbents to learn and practice real applications of School Psychology under professional supervision and guidance and is not designed to fulfill work that would otherwise be performed by regularly employed classified or certificated employees of the District. This internship is an at will position and is not part of the classified or certificated bargaining unit nor regular employment of the District. Incumbents serving in this internship do not qualify for earned retirement, vacation leave, or holiday pay.
