(2) Completion of the Target Success Sketch questionnaire is required when filling out your application. It is part of the Edjoin application process and you will be prompted to take the questionnaire after you submit your application if you have not completed it before. SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Principal and the Student Services Department, perform a variety of specialized duties in the development and implementation of designated functions and services of a comprehensive prevention and wellness program for district students and/or a school site wellness center; assist with the instruction of students in behavioral health, substance abuse and intervention education programs; identify students as at-risk due to mental health needs, behavioral needs, drugs and/or alcohol involvement; provides support, intervention and referrals as appropriate; disseminate information to students, staff and to the community regarding mental health awareness, Behavioral health, substance abuse awareness and other self-defeating behaviors that are barriers to education; communicate with students, teachers, parents, site administrators and community agencies to assist in the evaluation of students’ progress and to make appropriate referrals; assist with coordinating MTSS implementation, prevention education training programs and/or a wellness center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in behavioral health, mental health, substance abuse prevention, psychology, sociology or related fields and two years of experience working as a counselor to at-risk students in the areas of social work, mental health, drug prevention and intervention. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is desirable.
Upon offer of employment you will be required to pay for fingerprint processing and a TB clearance.
This recruitment will serve to establish a three month eligibility pool for future vacancies throughout the district.
