Join the Business Services Department at Nevada County, where you'll thrive in a dynamic and supportive environment, becoming an integral part of our dedicated team. Under the general direction of the Payroll Analyst position and under general supervision by the Associate Superintendent of Operational Services, the Payroll Technician has an in-depth understanding of the in-house financial system to accurately pay employees while following all state, federal and education code rules and regulations. The Payroll Technician performs a range of complex duties to ensure the accuracy of payroll calculations and maintains detailed financial and payroll records.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience: A combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, may qualify. We reserve the right to determine if a candidate meets the qualifications. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: • High school graduate or equivalent. • At least two (2) years recent experience performing payroll duties; preferably in an educational or government setting
