Interview will not be schedule until after March 15,2024. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor with expertise in social-emotional development to join our Aspen Ridge Team. The School Counselor will play a crucial role in supporting students' overall well-being and success in grades 7-12 by providing individual and group counseling, implementing social-emotional learning programs, and collaborating with staff, parents, and community resources. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a deep commitment to helping students navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Responsibilities of Aspen School Counselor will include but are not limited to: -Provide individual and group counseling to special education and general education students to address social-emotional, behavioral, and personal concerns, utilizing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques. -Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' social-emotional development and academic success through consultation, collaboration, and advocacy. -Implement social-emotional learning (SEL) programs and curriculum to promote skills such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship building, and responsible decision-making. -Facilitate workshops, presentations, and training sessions for students, parents, and staff on topics related to social-emotional wellness, resilience, conflict resolution, and other relevant areas.
