Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent-Human Resources, direct, coordinate, supervise and administer the examination, selection, and assignment of teachers, principals, and other certificated personnel involved in the instructional program. Plan, develop and implement, in consultation with the Induction Coordinator, a new district training program for teacher and administrator induction. Manage, supervise, plan, organize and direct the day-to-day operations of the certificated human resources functions related to certificated, confidential and management staff including the recruitment, screening, selection, processing, credentialing and employment of certificated personnel. Coordinate and provide technical assistance for personnel transactions, communications, labor relations and collective bargaining functions, evaluations, complaints, investigations and information to meet District needs related to certificated personnel. Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Administrative Services Credential Master’s degree from an accredited college/university, preferable in educational administration or related field Five years of successful teaching and/or counseling experience Three years of successful school principal administrative experience
