Job Summary

Under the direction and supervision of the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) Support and Advisory Services Director, the Coordinator – Continuous Improvement provides technical assistance to local education agencies (LEAs) across the county who are eligible for Differentiated Assistance (DA). The coordinator supports countywide efforts to improve outcomes for students on the California School Dashboard through collaboration and support of LEA teams in understanding and implementing the principles of improvement science and implementation science. The coordinator provides consultation and technical assistance; facilitates LEA teams in schools, charters, and districts in San Bernardino County; provides technical assistance to comprehensive support and improvement (CSI) schools and other high priority schools or LEAs; supports the Education Support Services (ESS) branch with implementing a variety of county-wide school reform initiatives and mandates; facilitates meetings; provides updates regarding legislative changes within California’s accountability system; and designs, facilitates, and aligns innovative practices that support student achievement.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possession of a valid Clear California teaching credential; • Possession of a valid California Administrative Services Credential; • Possession of a Master’s degree in Education or a related field from an accredited college or university; • Five (5) years teaching experience including experience teaching diverse learners (i.e. English Learners and students in special education); • Experience with Title I or Title I related school programs; • Experience as a site/district administrator
