Job Summary

Under the direction of the Executive Director/Superintendent, the TK-3 School Director will oversee the operations of theTK-3 school program, direct and train TK-3 teachers regarding the instructional program and audit requirements, and will coordinate the planning and monitoring of TK-3 student learning. The TK-3 School Director will work collaboratively with the leadership team to build and sustain a positive school culture where both students and staff thrive. Day to day duties shall include but are not limited to, mentoring and evaluating both classified and certificated staff, developing and implementing an accountable system for monitoring student improvement and teacher instructional practices, assist in the enrollment of TK-3 students, collect and analyze data around student assessment, inspiring and leading a diverse staff, shall work in partnership with the 4-8 School Director to oversee on-site center class activities and student events, and communicate effectively and consistently with our school community. Students enrolled receive personalized home school instruction, supported and overseen by a credentialed teacher, and may take enrichment and academic classes at our learning centers. CORE Butte High School follows a hybrid model, which may include a blend of learning center academic instruction, independent study, and classes at Butte College and/or California State University Chico. Parents are an integral part of the school’s program and agree to be highly involved at all levels. Credentialed teachers assign work, monitor progress, assess for understanding, and guide learning along with the parent/guardian. The teacher, parent/guardian and student make a team to develop a personalized learning plan that follows the California State Standards and ensures both academic and social growth.
