We have exciting opportunities for a Senior Maintenance Technician position located at our campus in Temecula, CA. Under general direction of the Facilities Supervisor, the Senior Maintenance Technician, performs skilled journey-level duties related to the following building trades; Electrical, Mechanical Systems (HVAC), Plumbing, Carpentry, Locksmith. Installs, repairs and maintains building systems related to electrical, plumbing, mechanical HVAC systems, carpentry and locksmith duties; follows blueprints, diagrams and/or schematics; and, may function as the lead on projects providing technical direction and guidance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1) A high school diploma or GED; AND 2) Five years of building maintenance/construction experience including three (3) years of specialized training or experience that will demonstrate achievement of journey-level skill in two or more of the following trades: Carpentry Electrical Masonry Painting Locksmith Plumbing HVAC; AND 3) One (1) year of professional leadership experience as a designated lead person AND 4) Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, address and photograph*** SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Possession of, or the ability to obtain within 60-days of hire, a valid California driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the District. If selected, employment commencement is contingent upon successful enrollment in the District’s DMV Pull Program. Employees enrolled in the DMV Pull Program MUST continuously maintain a driving record that meets District requirements set forth in the current policy as it relates to allowable types of infractions and points. SUBSTITUTION Substitution for the professional experience requirement are allowed, as follows: • A reasonably equivalent combination of training, certificate and experience as maintenance mechanic that will demonstrate achievement of the required skill level SPECIAL NOTES Journey-level is defined as: Completion of a formal apprenticeship program; OR State licensure in the trade; OR Three (3) years of experience in the trade verified in writing by a full journey-level individual DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Professional experience in two (2) trades Candidates experienced in the HVAC field are highly desired
