Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Special Education, the Education Specialist: Mild to Moderate Disabilities will support the instructional program for special education students and provide academic, behavioral and functional intervention services to identified students. As an employee of Southern California Flex Academy (SCFA), a virtual independent study charter school, this employee will follow the responsibilities and procedures as outlined in the SCFA Personnel Handbook. This is a fully virtual position. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Special Education, Southern California Flex Academy (SCFA) is hiring an Education Specialist, Mild to Moderate Disabilities to fill an immediate vacancy. Experience & Education: • Valid CA Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Teaching Credential (Clear Credential preferred) • English Language Learner Certification (add-on or embedded into credential program) • Autism Authorization (add-on or embedded into credential program) Other Requirements: • Valid CA Driver’s License • TB Test Clearance • Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance • Ability to travel within CA (expenses paid) up to 4x/yearly
