Job Summary
The job of Speech-Language Pathology Assistant is done for the purpose/s of assisting a Speech Language Pathologist in providing instruction specific to the area of speech and language communication to students identified as having special needs; monitors the use of augmentative communication devices and systems.

All applicants must have: Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED; Completion of a Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board-approved program or possession of a Bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology, or communication disorders, or an out-of-state associate of arts or sciences degree in speech-language pathology assistant. Additional experience working with children (ages three to twenty-one) is desirable. Certificates and Licenses: Possession of a current first aid and CPR certification, registration with the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant is required within six months of appointment. Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability. A completed Employment Application. Resumes are not accepted in-lieu of a completed application. QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL BE INVITED TO A FUTURE EXAMINATION A PASSING SCORE IS REQUIRED ON THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION.
