Coast Unified School District is a TK-12 district located in the seaside community of Cambria on the central coast of California. We serve a student population of 485 students in a beautiful area. The District is comprised of a TK-5 Cambria Grammar School, a 6-8 Santa Lucia Middle School, a 9-12 Coast Union High School and a 11-12 Leffingwell High School. While our District is a Basic Aid district, our student population has a significant number of Socio-Economically Disadvantaged students and a significant number of English Learner students. The central coast of California is a great place to live and work. The area rarely faces traffic congestion and living by the ocean moderates the temperatures year-round. Great restaurants and shopping are available locally in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles. We believe that our surroundings and the services we provide for students enable them to have an opportunity to live their best life. This year our high school was listed as the #2 high school in the county by a national ranking system. Our Trustees are comprised of caring local individuals that value our staff and the work we do for students.
