Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to:
- Education: Graduation from high school, and
- Experience: Three years increasingly responsible experience with custodial operations functions, including one year of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity with responsibility for the work of custodial staff.
- Valid California driver's license
- A driving record that meets the insurance requirements of the SCCOE

THE POSITION
The Business, Operations, and Facilities Services Division of the Santa Clara County Office of Education is now accepting applications for Supervisor - Custodial Services.
Under the direction of the Director of General Services, the Supervisor - Custodial Services organizes and leads the activities and operations of the Santa Clara County Office of Education ("SCCOE") Custodial Services; develops and recommends cleaning standards, procedures, and practices; responds to and resolves routine and emergency custodial service needs; participates in Williams Settlement site inspections; trains and evaluates the performance of assigned custodial personnel.
This position is full-time and has a work year of 12 months/ 261 days/ 8 hours per day.

Leadership team members are eligible to receive a $2,500 annual stipend for a master’s degree and a $2,500 additional stipend for a doctorate, provided official documentation is submitted.

- The most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in an oral examination with subject matter experts, tentatively scheduled for January 26, 2024.
- Based on the final scores of qualified candidates, Classified Personnel Services will establish a ranked candidate list.
- Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for TBD.
