An exceptional opportunity to collaborate with our esteemed local schools in Nevada County. This position serves as an ideal gateway to gain comprehensive insight into school finance, allowing you to leverage and contribute your financial expertise within the educational sector. The Business Services Department at Nevada County fosters a dynamic and supportive environment, offering an engaging platform to become an integral member of our dedicated team. Under the general direction of the Chief Business Official, performs a variety of complex statistical and account record keeping functions in the maintenance of fiscal information. Performs accounting duties including but not limited to; accounts payable; accounts receivable; purchasing; miscellaneous functions of the business office; general office assistance; and related work as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience: A combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, may qualify. We reserve the right to determine if a candidate meets the qualifications. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: • High school graduate or equivalent. • At least two (2) years of increasingly responsible work experience in financial and statistical record keeping, including experience in accounts payable and receivables record keeping. and • College coursework in accounting, business or related field.
