TITLE: Paraprofessional: Behavior Interventionist/Registered Behavior Technician REPORTS TO: Principal and/or designee DEGREE REQUIRED: Registered Behavior Technician Certification; AA or two years of college preferred PURPOSE: Under supervision of the principals and/or designee, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavior Interventionist provides behavior support services for school site teams. Works with students who demonstrate behavior that impacts their education, and are supported via an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Support services include student observations, consultation with a BCBA and school staff. May perform services to students in a language other than English, and performs related work as required. The Behavior Interventionist accepts all of the responsibilities as prescribed by the Education Laws of the State of California, laws and regulations of the United States, statutes of the State of California, and the policies, rules, and regulations established by Hayward Twin Oaks Montessori Charter. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: May perform any combination of the essential functions listed below. Duties may vary from school site to school site.
